Minister's Message

His Excellency Gamal Mohamed Hassan serves as the Minister of Commerce and Industry in the Federal Government of Somalia. He was appointed to lead MoCI’s next chapter of reform: building institutions, expanding Somalia’s integration with African and global markets, and making it markedly easier to start, license, and grow a business in Somalia.

This website is part of that reform. It explains MoCI’s mandate, publishes our laws, regulations, and strategies, hosts the services we operate directly, and points you to our trade information portal (STIP) and our business registration portal (SBRLS). Every page is available in English and Somali.
