Responsible for all public procurement activities of the Ministry, aligned with Somalia Public Procurement Law and the Public Procurement Authority (PPA).
Core Functions
Procurement Planning
Coordinates annual procurement plans with all Departments and Units.
Tender Management
Manages tender processes, evaluation, contract awards, and execution.
Vendor Management
Maintains supplier database and monitors performance of
vendors.
Compliance Reporting
Ensures reporting and compliance with Public Procurement Authority (PPA).
Governance & Compliance
The Procurement Unit ensures transparency, fairness, and value-for-money in all Ministry procurement processes, fully aligned with national procurement regulations.
