COMESA

Somalia is a member of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, through its Foreign Trade & Market Access Department, serves as the focal institution for coordination and engagement with the COMESA Secretariat.

Overview

COMESA is a regional economic community that promotes trade integration, economic cooperation, and market development among member states in Eastern and Southern Africa. Somalia’s membership supports regional trade participation and policy coordination.
