KENYA: The State Minister Has Met the Deputy Ambassador of the Swedish Embassy in Mogadishu

The State Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Federal Republic of Somalia H.E. Abdisalam Sharif Hussein who is on a visit to Nairobi has met with the Deputy Ambassador and other officials from the Swedish Embassy in Somalia on 4^rd October 2022, where they discussed strengthening cooperation between the two sides, accelerating Somalia’s accession process to the World Trade Organization(WTO) & trade reforms in Somalia at large.

Somalia started on its accession path in 2016 with an application to the WTO Director-General. Now, in 2022 the country has made some strides forward and the Government of Somalia has the commitment of political will to the WTO accession process.
