Minister of Commerce and Industry meets with representative from International Trade Centre

The Minister of Trade and Industry of the Federal Government of Somalia, HE Jibril Abdirashid Haji, had a meeting with a representative from the (ITC) International Trade Center in Japan, where they discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations and the expansion of the Digital Skills project for youth employment.

The meeting, which was also attended by the Deputy Minister of the Ministry HE Osman Mohamed Abdi (Daallo), the Director General Mr. Abdiaziz Ibrahim Adan and other officials, also discussed the creation of a center to support small and medium businesses that are of great importance to their business and youth employment in the country.

This Digital Skills project, which teaches young people job skills to create small businesses of their own, will be part of the President’s initiative to create jobs for young people, and hundreds of young people will benefit. The first phase of the project was successfully completed by the SIMAD University Innovation Lab, which was funded by the Japanese government.
